Size adult

D k yarn  approx 15 g

4 mm needles

Cast on  19 stitches 

Row 1: (right side) knit  2, * purl 2, knit 3 repeat from * to last 2 stitches

Row 2: knit 2, * purl 3, knit2 repeat from * to last 2 stitches

These 2 rows form pattern.

Continue in pattern until work measures approx. 48 cms 

Sew seam

Flower

Cast on 40 stitches

Row 1: *purl 2, knit 2 repeat from * to end

Row 2: knit 2, purl 2 repeat from * to end

Repeat these rows once more

Next 2 rows : knit 2 tog across row

Cut yarn and thread through stitches, gather stitches, secure and join seam

Attach to headband and add optional button

Juniper Headband

About 10 grams of dk yarn in two colours 

2 strands knitted together

6 mm needles

Flower to decorate if required

Size:

Width  10 cm

Length ~ 43 cm

 

Instructions:

Cast on 19 stitches

Row 1: knit 2 * purl 1, k1, repeat from * to last 2 stitches, knit 2

Row 2: knit

Repeat these 2 rows for  43 cm

Cast off. Join seam

Add buttons to decorate

Flower 

Cast on 40 stitches 

Knit 3 rows in k1, p1 rib

Next row : knit 2 together to end, break off yarn and thread through stitches, pull tight, sew seam.

Add button and attach to head band

Extra Warm Neck Warmer

 

Size suitable for approx 5-8 year old child

Size 5. 5 mm needles 

Approx. 25 grams of oddments of Dk yarn in 2 colours

Knit with 2 strands of yarn

Cast on 60 stitches  

Row 1: Knit 3, purl 2, repeat to end

Row 3: knit 2, purl 3, repeat to end

Repeat the 2 row pattern for 12 cms or required height

Cast off

Join seam

Left Overs Neck Warmer

Size suitable for approx 5-8 year olds

Size 4 mm needles 

Approx. 25 grams of oddments of Dk yarn 

Work with scraps of yarn with each colour enough for at least 2 rows. Change colour randomly at start of row.

Cast on 80 stitches  

Row 1: Knit to end

Repeat this row for 12 cms or required height

Cast off

Join seam
