Needles: 3.25  and 4mm

Using 3.25 needles cast  on 63 stitches

Row 1: k4, p1 *k1, p1 repeat from * to last 4 stitches, k 4
Row 2: k5, *  p1 k1 repeat from * to last 5 stitches, k5


Repeat these two rows three more times

Change to 4mm needles

Row 1: (right side) knit
Row 2: knit 4, purl to last 4 stitches, knit 4
Row 3:  k4 * yfd, k2 tog, k1 rep from * to last 3 stitches, knit 3
Row: 4: knit 4, purl to last 4 stitches, knit 4
These 4 rows form pattern.

Repeat last 4 rows
Continue until work measures  11cm

Shape Crown

Row 1: *k6, k2tog* repeat to last 7 stitches k7

Row 2 and all alt rows - knit 

Row 3: *k5, k2tog* repeat to last 7 stitches, knit 7 

Row 5: *k4, k2tog* repeat to last stitch, knit 1

Row 7: *k3, k2tog* repeat to last stitch, knit 1

Row 9:  *k2, k2tog* repeat to last 1 stitche, Knit 3

Row 11: *k1, k2tog* repeat to end  

           Row 13: *k2tog* repeat to last stitch, knit 1

cut yarn long enough to thread through the remaining stitches and sew up side seam from the top down to the end of the knitted edge

add ribbon to tie

Knit 4 rows
Change to Dk yarn
Knit one row
Purl 1 row

Next row: *k1, yfd knit 2 together, repeat from *  to end
Change to stocking stitch (1 row knit, 1 row purl)
Continue for 16 cm from cast on edge

Cast off
Join side and bottom seam
Thread ribbon through eyelet holes
Add an embellishment to front

Knit 2 rows

Row 3 : knit
Row 4 : knit 2 purl to last 2 stitches, knit 2

Repeat last 2 rows for   18  Cm

Change to eyelash yarn
Next row: Knit 1 row
Row 2: knit 2, s1, k1 psso purl to  last 2 stitches
Row 3: knit 2, s1, k1, psso knit to end
Repeat last 2 rows twice
Repeat row 2
Next row: knit 2, s1, k1, psso yfd knit 2 tog, knit to end
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until 4 stitches remain
Knit 2 together twice on next row
Next row knit 2 tog

Fasten off
Sew side seams
Add button

Circumference 13 cm
 approx 12 cm from wrist

About 15 gms Dk yarn 
3.75 and 4 mm needles

Cast on 29 stitches using  3.75 needles

Knit 5 rows in k1, p1 rib

Change to 4mm needles

Row 1: knit

Row 2: purl

Row 3:  * knit 5, purl 2, repeat to last stitch, knit 1

Row 4:: k3, * purl 5, knit 2, repeat to end of row

Knit 4 of the pattern sets above 

Change to 3.75 needles
Knit 5 rows in k1, p1, rib

Cast off in rib

Sew side seam for 5 cm leaving a gap for thumb of 4cm then join rest of seam
