Instructions for straight or turned top
Make two
Small amounts of Dk yarn in red and white
4 mm needles
Cast on 26 stitches in red or white
Knit 12 (18) rows in k1, p1 rib
Change to white or red
Knit in stocking stitch ( 1 row knit, 1 row purl )
Repeat 8 times.
Change to red or white
Knit 4 rows
Next Row: K2tog * to end
Next row: knit
Next Row: K2tog to last stitch, knit 1
Cut yarn, leave enough yarn to thread through remaining stitches, pull gently to close and to stitch seam
