4 mm needles
Child
Cast on 12 stitches in first colour
Row 1: knit
Row 2: knit
Row 3: knit 1, p1, to end
Row 4: knit 1, p1, to end
Repeat 1 more time
Knit 2 rows
Change to skin colour
Knit in stocking stitch ( 1 row knit,1 row purl)
For 6 rows
Change colour for hair
Knit 2 rows (garter stitch)
Next row: knit 2 tog across row
Next row: 2 tog across row
Cut yarn leaving enough to thread through remaining stitches and join seam
Add face
Sew seam
Adult
Cast on 14 stitches in first colour
Row 1: knit
Row 2: knit
Row 3: knit 1, p1, to end
Row 4: knit 1, p1, to end
Repeat 2 more times
Change to skin colour
Knit in stocking stitch ( 1 row knit,1 row purl)
For 6 rows
Change colour for hair
Knit 2 rows (garter stitch)
Next row: knit 2 tog across row
Next row: 2 tog across row, knit 1
Cut yarn leaving enough to thread through remaining stitches and join seam
Add face
