Oddments dk yarn in pink, red and white 

4mm needles

1 button

Measures approx 16 x 21 cms

Begin at the bottom with the beard cast on 4 stitches

Knit 1 row

Next and every row:  knit 3, knit into front and back of next stitch, knit to end

Repeat until 32  stitches on needle

Knit 4 rows 

Change to pink

Next row :  knit to end

Next row: knit 3, purl to last 3 stitches, knit 3

Repeat these 2 rows  for 5 cms

Change to white 

Knit 2 rows

Change to red

knit 8 rows

Button hole row: k4, yfd k2 tog, knit to end

Knit 3 rows

Cast off leaving last  last 6 stitches on needle

Strap

Knit every row on these stitches for 20 c m

Cast off

Add button

Sew face

Height:   14cm

Width:    29cm circumference 

Approx 20 g of Dk yarn in left overs

4 mm needles

Change colours randomly at start of row even if there is only enough yarn for a couple of rows

cast  on 64 stitches

Knit 8 rows in knit 2, purl 2 rib

Continue in stocking g stitch (1 row knit, 1 row purl)

Repeat 11 times (joining new  colours at beginning of a row)

(30 rows from cast on edge) 

Shape Crown

Row 1: *k6, k2tog* repeat to end (56 st.)

Row 2 and alt rows - knit

Row 3: *k5, k2tog* repeat to end (48 st.)

Row 5: *k4, k2tog* repeat to end (40 st.)

Row 7: *k3, k2tog* repeat to end (32 st.)

Row 9:  *k2, k2tog* repeat to end (24 st.)

Row 11: *k1, k2tog* repeat to end (16 st.)

Row 13: *k2tog* repeat to end (8 st.)

cut yarn long enough to thread through the remaining stitches and sew up  seam.

4 mm needles

2.5 x 2.5 square of card

Small fridge magnet

Christmas themed  buttons, embellishments or stickers 

 cast on 28 stitches

Row 1: knit 1, purl 1 to end

Row 2 : knit

Repeat these 2 rows for 7 cm

Cast off

Join back  seam and slip card inside

Join bottom and top seams

Glue  magnet at back and decorate

Small fridge magnet

Bobbles

With eyelash yarn cast on 28 stitches

Knit 2 rows

Change to pink yarn

Next row: knit

Next row : purl

Repeat 3 times

Change to white

.Knit  2 rows

Change to red

Next row: knit

Next row : purl

Repeat 2 times

Next row: k2 tog to end

Next row: purl 2 tog to end

Cut yarn, thread through remaining stitches and pull tight and secure

Join centre back seams  matching colours and slip card inside

Join bottom

Add bobble to hat, make a face

Star gems

With white cast on 14 stitches

Knit 2 rows

Next row: knit

Next row: knit 2 purl to last 2 stitches, knit 2

Repeat 2 times

Change to blue yarn

Repeat the above 2 rows 3  times

Knit  2 rows

Continue in blue following pattern rows for 3 more times

Change to white and follow pattern rows 3 times 

Knit 4 rows

Cast off

Join side seams  matching colours and slip card inside

Join bottom

Add trees and stars to finish
