Cast on 20 stitches

Knit for 29 cms

Next row (button hole row) knit 9 yarn forward, knit2 tog, knit to end 

Knit 3 rows

Cast off 

To make up.

Sew button in place on the inside of bag

Sew sides

Handle

Knot  each end of the ribbon, attach to each side of bag

Oddments tinsel yarn

Ribbon bow optional 

Size 4 mm Needles

Knitted in garter stitch throughout

Knit 2 pieces

Cast on 20 (30) stitches in main colour

Knit 2 rows

Pattern rows

In dk 

Next row: knit 1, s1, knit 1, p.s.s.o. Knit to end

Next row: knit 1, s1, knit 1, p.s.s.o. Knit to end

Change to tinsel yarn and repeat the above 2 row 2 times 

Repeat these 4 row until 3 stitches remain

Next row: knit 2 tog, k 1

Next row: knit 2 tog

Fasten off

Weave in ends

Sew both sides together

Add a ribbon bow if required

4 mm needles

Small amount of dk yarn in main colour and contrast

Stiff narrow braid for antenna 

Make 2 pieces

Cast on 10 stitches

Knit 4 rows

Next 2 rows: knit 2 tog at both ends of the row

Change to contrast. (Optional)

Next row : cast on 2 stitches, knit to end, cast on 2 stitches at start of next row

Knit 2 rows

Next 2 rows : cast off 2 stitches, knit to end,

Change to main colour 

Next 2 rows: increase 1 stitch, knit to last stitch, increase 1 stitch

Knit 4 rows

Cast off 

Stitch together and sandwich the antenna

Row 1: knit

Row 2; knit

Row 3: k1, p1 repeat to end

Row 4: k1, p1 repeat to end

 

Repeat rows 1-4 once more

Knit 2 rows

Cast off

Join seam, add embellishment if required

Christmas Tree Decoration

Oddments tinsel yarn

Lolly stick

Small amount of ribbon for hanging optional

Ribbon bow optional 

Size 4 mm Needles

Knitted in garter stitch throughout

Knit 2 pieces

Cast on 20 stitches

Knit 1 row

Next row: knit 2, s1, knit 1, p.s.s.o. Knit to end

Repeat last row until 3 stitches remain

Next row: knit 2 tog, k 1

Next row: knit 2 tog

Fasten off

Weave in ends

Sew both sides together leaving a gap at bottom to slide the stick in.  Add a small amount of glue to hold the tree in place.

Add a loop at the top to hang the tree

Add a ribbon bow if required

About 10 grams of dk yarn

4 mm needles

Small amount of fancy yarn

Narrow ribbon

Cast on 26 stitches

Change to dk yarn

Pattern  rows

Knit 4 rows

Row 5 : knit

Row 6: purl

Row 7: knit

Row 8: purl

Knit these 8 rows for 3 times

 Next row: knit 1, yarn forward, knit 2 together to last stitch, knit 1

Knit 1 row

With fancy yarn knit 4 rows (optional use the dk yarn) 

Cast off

Fold in half lengthways, sew seam and move to centre back, sew bottom seam.

Thread ribbon through eyelet holes
