Repeat 11 times

Shape Crown

Row 1: *k6, k2tog* repeat to end (56 st.)

Row 2 and alt rows - purl

Row 3: *k5, k2tog* repeat to end (48 st.)

Row 5: *k4, k2tog* repeat to end (40 st.)

Row 7: *k3, k2tog* repeat to end (32 st.)

Row 9:  *k2, k2tog* repeat to end (24 st.)

Row 11: *k1, k2tog* repeat to end (16 st.)

Row 13: *k2tog* repeat to end (8 st.)

cut yarn long enough to thread through the remaining stitches and sew up  seam.

Cast on 26 stitches 

Pattern  rows

Row 1: k2, * p2, k2 repeat from * to end

Row 2: p2, *k2, p2 repeat from * to end

Row 3: repeat row 2

Row 4: repeat row 1

Knit these 4 rows  8 times 

Knit 2 rows

Cast off 

Fold in half lengthways, sew bottom and side seam. Fold corner on top front and add a button to decorate

Ribbon bow optional 

Size 4 mm Needles

Knitted in garter stitch throughout

Knit 2 pieces

Cast on 20 (30) stitches in main colour

Knit 2 rows

Pattern rows

In dk 

Next row: knit 1, s1, knit 1, p.s.s.o. Knit to end

Next row: knit 1, s1, knit 1, p.s.s.o. Knit to end

Change to tinsel yarn and repeat the above 2 row 2 times 

Repeat these 4 row until 3 stitches remain

Next row: knit 2 tog, k 1

Next row: knit 2 tog

Fasten off

Weave in ends

Sew both sides together

Add a ribbon bow if required
