Small amount of 4 ply yarn

Size 3.75 needles

Small amount of lace and ribbon

Doll size approx 12 cm  (4.5 “) high

Cast on 22 stitches 

Knit 16 rows

Next row : k5,  cast on 4 stitches,  k2, k2 tog 3 times, knit 3 cast on 4 stitches, k 5

Knit 2 rows

Cast off 12 stitches, knit 2 tog twice, cast off to end 

Sew back seam on right side and leave gap at top for easy access if required

Add lace and a ribbon bow

Bonnet

Cast on 16 stitches

Knit 10 .rows

Next row: k2 tog across row and leave length of yarn and sew up part of the seam to make a bonnet

Add ribbon ties

Cast off

Sew seam and fit to lower end of cork

Hat

Cast on 18 stitches 

Knit 2 rows

Next row: knit

Next row : purl

Repeat 3 times

Next row: knit 2 tog across row

Cut yarn leave enough to thread through stitches and sew seam

Add bobble

Attach to cork 

Add a little glue to keep your knitting in place

Decorate with beads and bows

Oddments of dk yarn

Small amount of white eyelash, tinsel or similar yarn for cuff

Ribbon for hanging (optional)

Small bow or similar 

4 mm needles

Knitted in garter stitch throughout  (every row knit)

Cast on 18 stitches with white yarn knit 6 rows

 Change to main colour knit 8 rows

Next 2 rows:  knit 1, knit into front and back of next stitch, knit to end

Next  2 rows knit 

Next 2 rows:  knit 1, knit into front and back of next stitch, knit to end

Next  2 rows knit 

Next 2 rows:  knit 1, slip 1, psso, knit to  end

Next  2 rows knit 

Next 2 rows:  knit 1, slip 1, psso, knit to  end

Next 4 rows knit 

Next row: knit 2 tog across row

Break of yarn and thread it through the stitches, pull slightly and join seam

Add bow and loop of ribbon to hang

Colourful Reindeer

Oddments of dk yarn

4 mm needles

Pipe cleaner

Red pom-pom

Wiggly eyes

Knitted in garter stitch throughout  ( every row knit)

Make 2 pieces

Cast on 8 stitches 

Knit 1 row

Next and every row:  knit 1, knit into front and back of next stitch, knit to end

Repeat until 14 stitches on needle

Continue on these stitches for 7 cms

Next and every row:  knit 2  slip 1, psso, knit to end

Repeat until 8 stitches on needle

Cast off

Ears

Knit 2

cast on 10 stitches

Row 1: knit

Row 2 : purl

Row 3: continue in stocking stitch decreasing at each end of rows until 2 stitches remain 

K2 tog 

Fasten off.

Fold ear in half at the cast on edge, sew across and attach this edge to either side of head

Sew bottom and side seams and place the pipe cleaner at the top folded in half and sandwich it between the two pieces. Curl ends. Secure the top seam

Embellishment

Small chocolate bar

Cast on 22 stitches

Row 1: knit

Row 2: purl

Continue for 9 cm

Change to Tinsel yarn

Knit 4 rows

Cast off

Sew up seams

Add  embellishments if required 

Put in the chocolate bar
