Circumference 14 cm
 approx 11 cm from wrist

About 15 gms Dk yarn
3.75 and 4 mm needles

Using  3.75 needles cast on 30 stitches
Knit 2 rows in k2, p2 rib
Change to 4mm needles
Knit continue in k2, p2 rib till 10 cm
Change to 3.75 needles
Knit 2 rows in k2, p2 rib

Cast off in rib

Sew side seam leaving a gap for thumb of 4cm then join rest of seam

Knit 2 rows in  k1, p1 rib

Cast on 32 stitches
Knit 4 rows
Next row: knit 1, * yfd, knit 2 tog, repeat from * to last stitch, knit 1
Next row: purl
Starting with a knit row work 1 row knit, 1 purl for  8cm
Knit 2 rows in k1, p1 rib

Cast off
Join side seam
Fold hem to eyelet row to form picot hem and stitch to secure
Thread a double length of elastic through waist and pull tight to required size. Fasten off.

Top
Make 2 pieces
Cast on 18 stitches

Knit 4 rows
Next row: knit 1, * yfd, knit 2 tog, repeat from * to last stitch, knit 1
Next row: purl
 Next knit 1 row, purl 1 row for 4 cm
Next row cast on 5 stitches knit to end
Next row cast on 5 stitches, purl to last 5 stitches, knit 5
Next row knit
Next row knit 5, purl to last 5 stitches knit to end
Repeat Last 2 rows 3 more times

Cast off
Sew side seams and under arm
Fold hem to eyelet row to form picot hem and stitch to secure
Sew shoulder seams

Oddments Dk yarn in two colours
Ribbon bow
Size 4 mm Needles
Knitted in garter stitch throughout

Begin at the bottom with the pot cast on 10 stitches
Knit 1 row
Next and every row:  knit 2, knit into front and back of next stitch, knit to end

Repeat until 20 stitches on needle

Change to tree colour and cast on 10 stitches at the start of the next 2 rows (40 stitches)
Knit 1 row
Next row: knit 2, s1, knit 1, p.s.s.o. Knit to end

Repeat last row until 3 stitches remain
Next row: knit 2 tog, k 1
Next row: knit 2 tog

Fasten off
Weave in ends
Add a ribbon bow

Burial dress is for a tiny angel baby born sleeping .
Dress measures length 10cm. Waist 12.5 cm and can be made smaller by gathering ribbon at back.
Left open at the back for easier dressing
I have added a little hat that ties at the top as well.

10 grams Dk yarn
 white ribbon

Dress
Using 3.75 needles cast on 45 stitches
Knit 3 rows

1st row: knit to end

2nd row:  purl to end
3rd row: k2 *yfwd, k2 tog repeat from * to end
4th row:  purl to end
5th row: k 1 * yfwd. k2 tog, repeat from * to end
6th row: purl to end

Repeat rows 3-6 once
Next row: knit
Next row: purl

Next row : K1, * s1, k1, p s s o, repeat from * to last stitch, k 1 (23) stitches
Next row: purl

Knit 4 rows
Knit 6, cast on 6, knit 11, cast on 6, knit 6
Knit 4 rows
Cast off
Leave back open, add ribbon to tie if needed
A rose bud or small decoration can be added to the front

Hat
Using 3.75 needles  cast on  29 stitches

1st Row           *k1, p1, rep from * to end

2nd Row         * p1, k1, rep from * to end

Repeat these two rows once 

Next row:  knit
Next row: purl
Repeat these two rows 4 times

next row (right side)  k1,* yfwd k2 tog* repeat to end
Knit 2 rows
Cast off
Sew back seam

Thread ribbon through eyelet holes and pull and tie ribbon

Repeat the last 4 rows 3 more times

Next row: knit
Next row: purl

Next row : K1, * s1, k1, p s s o, repeat from * to last stitch, k 1 (30) stitches
Next row: purl

Next row:  *K3, s1, k1, p s s o, repeat from * to last stitch, k 1 (24) stitches
Continue in garter stitch (every row knit) for 5 Rows

Next row: k7, cast on 7, k 10, cast on 7, k7

Knit 3 rows

Cast off

Join back seam using a flat stitch

Pants
Cast on 15 stitches
Knit 2 rows
Work 4 rows in k1, p1 rib

Next row: k2 tog, rib to last 2 stitches , k2 tog
Next row: : Rib to end

Repeat last 2 rows till 5 stitches
Work 2 more rows without shaping

Next row :Continue in rib increase each end of row,
Next row: rib
Repeat last 2 rows till 15 stitches on needle
