Knit with random colours change colours at  start of rows weaving ends as you go

Bow or button to decorate

Instructions:

Cast on 14 stitches

Work in garter stitch throughout (every row knit) until 17 cm

Cast off. 

Fold cast on up to cast off edge

Join seams

decorate with bow or button

Width  approx 6.5 cm

Length ~ approx 13 cm

 

Instructions:

Cast on 9 stitches 

Work in garter stitch throughout (every row knit) until 27 cm

Cast off. 

Fold cast on and cast off ends together. Join side seams

Uses 2 strands dk yarn

Size 6 mm needles

Age 1-3 years

Approx 38 cm circumference, height 7 cm

Age 3- 10 years

Approx 43 cm circumference, height 8 cm

With 2 strands dk yarn

Cast on  12 (14)stitches

These 10 rows form the pattern

Row 1:  *k 1, p1, repeat to end

Row 2: knit

Repeat 2 more times

Change to eyelash yarn

Row 7 - 10

Knit

Knit in pattern for 40 (43) cm

Cast off, join seam

Approx 15 grams each of 2 colours

Worked in garter stitch throughout

Age 1-3 years

Cast on  10 (12) stitches

Knit for 38 (40) cm

Cast off, join seam

Oddments of dk yarn

Size 8 mm needles

Cast on 36 stitches

Row 1: p1, *k1, p1, rep from * to end

Row 2: Knit to end

Repeat these 2 rows for 7 cm

Cast off

Sew seam

thread 2 strands of yarn through top, 1 row down from cast off, pull tight and tie in bow.

5 mm needles

3.75 mm needles

Ribbon

Flower and button

Worked in garter stitch throughout 

Cover

With 5 mm needles cast on 20 stitches

Knit for  14  cm

Cast off

Weave in loose ends

Inside

With 3.75 mm needles cast on 14 stitches

Knit for 13 cm

Cast off

To make up

Add flower and button to decorate outer cover

Attach  both inside ends leaving a small border to outer cover

Fold case to find centre and attach a length of ribbon to back stitching through all layers
