Oddments of dk yarn main and hair tone colour
With main colour
Cast on 28 stitches
Row 1: k1, p1 to end
Row 2: p1, k1 to end
Repeat the 2 rows 2 more times and row 1 once
Change to other colour
Next row : purl
Knit 6 rows in stocking stitch ( 1 row knit, 1 row purl)
Next rows knit 2 tog across row
Next row: purl 2 tog across row
Cut yarn leaving enough to thread through remaining stitches and join seam
Flower
Cast on 16 stitches
Knit 2 tog. Across row
Cut yarn leaving short length
Thread through remaining stitches, pull tight, secure to head band
Bow
Cast on 8 stitches
Knit 6 rows
Cast off
Wrap small amount of yarn around centre to make a bow
Tassel
With hair tone yarn wind several times around your finger cut yarn leaving a length to wind around the yarn and to secure to top of hat. Cut bottom and trim
