Approx 27 g each of 2 strands Dk yarn held together or oddments making up weight


 

Cast on 36 stitches 


Knit 3 rows in knit 1, purl 1 rib


Next row knit to end 


Continue the knit row for 28 cms


Knit 3 rows in knit 1, purl 1 rib


Cast off 

Sew side seams

Attach flowers or embellishments if required

Child’s Christmas Bag

 



size 6 mm needles

Oddments of 2 strands Dk yarn held together 

Small amount of tinsel yarn 

Ribbon bow

 

Cast on 16 (20) stitches with tinsel yarn

Knit 3 rows

 

Change to dk  yarn


Row 1: P1, k1 to end of row

Row 2: knit


Continue these two rows for 18 (20) cm from start of Dk yarn


Change to tinsel yarn

Knit 3 rows


Cast off 

Sew side seams

 

Handle


Cast on 5 (6) stiches

Knit every row for 18(22) cms


Cast off attach to bag

Oddments of D K yarn

Tinsel or eyelash yarn


4 mm needles


Cast on 20 stitches with tinsel yarn

 knit 1 row


Change to dk  yarn


Row 1: P1, k1 to end of row

Row 2: knit


Continue these two rows for 6 cm


Next row : knit 2 tog to end of row

Next row: knit

Next row : knit 2 tog to end of row


Cut yarn leaving a length to thread  through remaining stitches and join seam

Ken Doll Teeshirt




Oddments of dk yarn

4 mm needles


Make 2 pieces

Cast on 20 stitches


Row 1: knit 1, purl 1  rib to end

Repeat for another 3 rows 


Next knit 1 row, purl 1 row for 5 cm from start

Next row cast on 7 stitches knit to end

Next row cast on 7 stitches, knit 5, purl to last 5 stitches, knit 5

Next row knit

Next row knit 5, purl to last 5 stitches knit to end

Repeat Last 2 rows 4  more times

Knit 2 rows


Cast off

Sew side seams and under arm

Sew shoulder seams leaving gap for head


Pattern leaves a larger neckline for easier access

4 mm knitting needles



Cast on 20 stitches

Work 3 rows in k1, p1 rib

Row 1: knit

Row 2: purl


Repeat these 2 rows 6  times


Next 2 rows cast on 8 stitches for sleeves and knit to end (36 stitches)

Knit 9 rows

Next row: knit 12 cast  off 12 stitches  knit 12 

Next row: knit 12 cast on 12 stitches, knit 12

Knit 9 rows

Next 2 rows  cast off 8 stitches knit to end

Next row: purl


Row 1: knit

Row 2: purl


Repeat these 2 rows 6  times


Work 3 rows in k1, p1 rib


Cast off, sew side and sleeve seams

Approx 23 grams each of Dk yarn in 2 colours

Size 6 mm needles 


Knit 2 pieces



Cast on 34  stitches with 2 strands yarn



Row 1:   K1, p1,  * to end

Row 2: K1, p1,  * to end


Row 3: knit

Row 4: knit


Knit these 4 rows  7 times 

Cast off


Join sides leave gap for handle and spout


With 2 strands of yarn thread sew running stitches a few rows below cast off, pull tight and tie in a bow
