10 grams of 2 colours dk yarn

Wiggly eyes and small amount of felt for beak

Cast on  26 stitches 

Row 1: * purl 1, k1, repeat to end

Row 2: knit

Repeat these 2 rows for 9 cm

Change to stocking stitch, 1 row knit and 1 row purl for 5 cm

Next row: * purl 1, k1, repeat to end

Cast off 

Sew seams 

Make 2 tassels and attach

Add eyes and beak

empty container 

measurements 10 cm circumference x height to rim 4..25 cm  

4 mm needles

Cast on 22 stitches

Knit in garter stitch (every row knit) for 5 cm

Cast off 

Sew seam and attach to container 

Attach bow, decorate lid

oddment of Tinsel yarn

Wooden curtain ring measuring 5 cm outer diameter 

Bow, gems etc to decorate

4 mm needles

Cast on 25 stitches

Knit 6 rows

Cast off

Wrap the piece longways around the ring and sew  together pull slightly as you join sides , fasten off and secure

Trim some of the long strands away in the centre of the ring.

Add ribbon to hang 

Decorate with bow and gem

empty canister measurements 10 cm circumference x height to rim 4..25 cm  

4 mm needles

Cast on 24 stitches

Row 1: knit 1, purl 1 to end

Repeat the row for 3 cm

Change colour and continue until 5 cm from start

Cast off in rib

Make 2 tassels and attach

Sew seam and attach to canister 

Add eyes and beak

Decorate lid with a button etc

Finished Size: Approximately 11 cm high x  9 cm wide

Oddments of dk yarn in two colours 

Buttons for eyes or wiggly eyes, scrap felt for beak

Small amount of toy stuffing

2 strands knitted together

6 mm needles

Cast  on 12 stitches

Row 1: * purl 1, k1, repeat to end

Row 2: knit

Repeat these 2 rows for 6 cm

Knit every row for 5 cm

Knit the 2 pattern rows for 11 cm

Cast off

Fold over

Sew 2 sides, add stuffing and sew up remaining side

Add eyes and a felt or stitched beak. Add tassels on top corners
