About 20 g Dk yarn
Needles: 3.75  and 4mm
Ribbon

Using 3.75 needles cast  on 63 stitches

Row 1: k4, p1 *k1, p1 repeat from * to last 4 stitches, k 4
Row 2: k5, *  p1 k1 repeat from * to last 5 stitches, k5

Repeat these two rows three more times

Change to 4mm needles

1st row: knit to end
2nd row: knit 4,  purl to last 4 stitches, knit 4
3rd row: knit 4, k1, *yfwd, k2 tog repeat from * to last 4 stitches, knit 4
4th row: knit 4, purl to last 4 stitches, knit 4
5th row: knit 4, * yfwd. k2 tog, repeat from * to last 5 stitches, knit 5
6th row: knit 4 purl to last 4 stitches, knit 4

Continue with the 6 row pattern until work measures  11cm

Shape Crown

Row 1: *k6, k2tog* repeat to last 7  stitches, knit 7

Row 2 and all alt rows - purl 

Row 3: *k5, k2tog* repeat to end 

Row 5: *k4, k2tog* repeat to end 

Row 7: *k3, k2tog* repeat to end 

Row 9:  *k2, k2tog* repeat to last 3 stitches, K3

Row 11: *k1, k2tog* repeat to end 

Row 13: *k2tog* repeat to end 

cut yarn long enough to thread through the remaining stitches and sew up side seam. from the top down to the end of the knitted edge

add ribbon to tie
