For 4"  doll 

4ply yarn

3.25 Needles

Cast on 56 stitches in contrast eye lash yarn for hem
Knit 1 row

Change to 4 ply yarn

 Start with a knit row Work in stocking stitch until work measures 6cm ending with a purl row

Next row: knit 2 tog  across the row (28 stitches)
Next row: purl
Next row: k2tog to end  (14 stitches)
Starting with a purl row stocking stitch work another 3 rows

Next row: k 4, cast on 5 stitches, k 6, cast on 5 stitches, k4
 knit next  2 rows

Cast off

Sew back seam
